On 18 January, Bath-based innovative wine company, Canned Wine Group., had the pleasure of supporting the second of Theatre Royal Bath’s The House is Open! winter events: a series of fundraising events in aid of Venue 4, a new community studio to be nestled at the heart of Theatre Royal Bath’s historic site. The venue will provide an easy-to-use and affordable new entry point into the city’s creative scene. An accessible foyer, audience facilities and dressing rooms create an arts centre in miniature, and an open invitation for local people to get performing.

A Dandy Evening! welcomed guests to the exclusive 1805 Rooms at Theatre Royal Bath for an intimate party of raucous parlour games and a truly immersive celebration of Victorian splendour, hosted by Bath Drag House Wig! legends Mother and Yugi Hoe, with a reading from The Gay Street Chronicles by author William Keeling.
Adding a touch of sparkle to the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of wines from the Canned Wine Co. Varietal range. At its heart, the event celebrated a prosperous future of the arts and theatre scene in Bath, where Canned Wine Group is proud to enhance the celebrations one great glass of wine at a time.
Canned Wine Group are thrilled to support Theatre Royal Bath’s winter series and initiative to improve accessibility to the arts within the city. Venue 4 will provide a home for the thriving grassroots and creative scene within the community – the soul of the future of the arts.

The House is Open! series culminates with a VIP gala performance on Saturday 21 February, of community production David Copperfield: A Life, produced by Engage, the adult creative learning programme at Theatre Royal Bath. The production is directed by the award-winning Sally Cookson, adapted by Mike Akers and devised and performed by more than 100 participants in the community company.
