Louisa, Jamie and the team have done a wonderful job of showcasing a modern way to drink wine with The Copper Crew cans, whether that’s for sipping on a beach, taking away for a hike along the Cornish coast, or eliminating waste in cafés.

What’s most important is that the wine tastes good and that is something that Canned Wine Co. has always done really well and The Copper Crew wines are an organic range from Italy and they taste great. These are perfect for passing around and drinking from the can or pouring into a glass. It’s something for everyone to explore and try.
Kegged wine continues the idea of looking at other formats. In a bar wine in keg can work really well. Again, it was about the quality of the wine, and it’s actually the same wine in the kegs as in the can so we can show it to people in the cans first.

Not only are both our businesses aligned in trying to make the wine industry more sustainable, we also care deeply about great tasting wines. If we want more people to make a better choice, then the wine has to taste great.

The Copper Crew features a range of fruit-forward, ripe styles of dry wines that are guaranteed crowd-pleasers. 73% of customers want something different by the glass and by giving them a ‘wow’ moment with our Fiano, Primitivo-based Rosato and Negroamaro Italian wines, we can ensure wine sales grow and satisfaction goes up.

Louisa, co-owner of Old Chapel Cellars, says: “The rosé is pale and dry which is what everyone wants at the moment. The white is a lovely Fiano; crisp and fresh but with nice sort of pear apple flavour to it. The red is probably my favourite; it’s got really nice fruit concentration and spices. Super easy drinking, no kind of dryness from tannins.”

Through our partnership, The Copper Crew has become the go-to choice for venues across Cornwall looking for great quality wine by the can or on tap. We’re pouring at pizza restaurants, beach bars, cafés and tap rooms across the region.

I think our companies have similar values. We were the first UK wine merchant to be B Corp certified and Canned Wine Group got their B Corp certification recently which is amazing. We’re both quite small teams and both looking to really look at ways to be more sustainable in the wine industry, it’s exciting.
