National Trust sites attract millions of visitors each year, many seeking high-quality refreshments that complement their experience of nature and heritage. Traditionally, wine offerings in these cafés have been limited to small bottled selections, which can be cumbersome and less environmentally friendly. They also create a waste and loss of profits problem. The challenge was to introduce a product that aligns with The National Trust’s commitment to sustainability while appealing to a range of customers looking for a quality serve in line with their day out.

The Perfect Partner To The Great Outdoors

We’ve seen particular success with beachside National Trust properties, where the can has been a welcome alternative to glass and single use plastic. The wines are quick to serve and easy to take along ‘on the go’. Likewise, cafe locations that allow customers to enjoy wine onsite in idyllic gardens and courtyards has been a welcome addition. The 250ml serve also neatly splits into two small glasses of wine, perfect for sharing just the one with lunch or an afternoon slice of cake. A wine that is easy to sip on a wander around the grounds has also been a hit for some customers who look for a refreshing tipple as they take a stroll around history.
