Wine fit for the Premier League
We started supplying the West London based football club Brentford FC in the 2023/24 season via our distributor Asahi UK. The single serve offering ticked sustainability targets for the venue in a format that is operationally easy and quick to serve. The wines are stored chilled, taking up minimal fridge space and chilling fast, and can be accessed by serving staff in a one step movement from their POS. The wines are decanted on match days as required by the ground and the can itself is recycled by the venue. As a community stadium, the quality of wine was important and now Brentford FC serves some of the finest wines on stadia grounds in the Premier League!

Speed is of the essence
In supplying The Copper Crew wines to Brentford FC there were two vital things to get right: deliver a delicious tasting, sustainable single serve – and do it fast. Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium has a capacity of over 17,000 people. Across 16 point of sale bar locations, staff have the pre-game and half-time to cater for massive queue pressure and demand from home and visiting fans.
The stadium introduced screens at a few of their bar locations for crowds to order their drinks before the game and pre-order for half-time, redeeming their order on the bar with a slip. We supplied the venue with POS animation videos to introduce the wines and their availability to browsing crowds for the new 2024 season. We’re also investing in visible eye-line shelving behind each bar to present the wine option to queueing fans. The wines are then served from chilled fridges positioned directly behind the server, ensuring the fastest possible service times for fans.
Cheat sheets for staff and a combo deal for impulse purchasing have also been introduced to enhance the customer experience without compromising on speed of service.
