About this wine:
Introducing our vintage St Laurent. This medium bodied red wine is packed full of plums and mulberries over peppercorn spice and rustic tannins. It’s made from indigenous St Laurent grapes grown on the Austrian family estate Weingut Glatzer in Carnuntum, south-east of Vienna. The grapes are hand-harvested and matured for 12 months in oak barriques before canning.
How to enjoy:
The 2020 vintage has softened nicely and makes for a refreshing aperitif. Chill down and serve with a platter of your favourite cheese and cured meats, or pair with pan-fried duck, herb-roasted chicken, or salmon.

Weingut Glatzer
Walter is happiest in the vineyard and believes pruning has a meditative quality to it. He’s part of a new generation that wanted to ‘do wine properly’ and move from mass market to premium Austrian wine, something he has achieved by relentlessly focusing on quality. Mathias has spent years learning the ethos and shadowing his father Walter, now increasing his input as the next generation of Glatzer winemaking. Hanna, Walter’s daughter, is also involved in the family business as well as branching out with her own range of wines.
The St Laurent is a wonderful mélange of dark fruit and spice.
