Canned Wine Group had the pleasure of partnering with the Stage Awards for the second year running this week. The Stage Awards is one of the UK’s most significant celebrations of theatre and theatremakers, honouring the creativity, talent, and dedication of the individuals and organisations that shape British theatre as we know it today. We are delighted to play a part in the celebrations.
Hosted at the iconic Royal Opera House, the ceremony brought together the industry to celebrate excellence across a wide range of categories, from Theatre of the Year to the Community Award. Nominees and guests were greeted with a glass of Canned Wine Co. to kick off the proceedings. It was a truly electric evening; a moment to pause, reflect, and be inspired by the incredible community, outreach, and development projects that have taken place over the past year, as well as the workforce driving them forward.

Being part of The Stage Awards is a natural fit for us. The entertainment industry is one of the original homes for our range of award-winning canned wines. At venues across the country we continue to see audiences enjoying a glass of wine alongside their favourite shows with moments of connection that matter just as much offstage as on. Supporting the arts and the people behind them is something we genuinely believe in.
One of the key messages that resonated throughout the night was “locking in a future” for theatre. This was embodied by Hope Mill Theatre, whose success as one of the UK’s leading independent venues has not stopped them from championing the importance of Fringe and grassroots spaces. Their advocacy highlighted just how vital these venues are to the future health and diversity of the industry.
Within our own wine space, we do our best to help make these venues be heard, seen, and to add to the exciting experience they offer guests. That’s why we get involved whenever we can, from supporting the Edinburgh Fringe to backing new and emerging spaces like Bath’s newest fringe theatre, Venue 4. These venues are where innovation thrives and where the next generation of theatre-makers begins. After all, we’re all in the business of making moments special.
The Stage Awards is an inspiring night that celebrates the passion, resilience, and creativity that continue to define British theatre.
We’re so proud to be a small part of that.
