About
Rachael is the technical lead at Canned Wine Co. and oversees all things quality and safety, ensuring they are upheld from wine buying, throughout the supply chain to production and beyond. Through quality and safety management, systematic assessment and continual research, she ensures our wines meet their full potential in can! Rachael builds strong relationships with our suppliers and is an active member of the Wine and Spirit Trade Association’s technical committee. With her background in chemistry and wine production, Rachael first met the Canned Wine Co. team whilst studying for her WSET Level 3, where it quickly became apparent that she was the right fit for the role and team!
I love wine for its infinite complexity. It will not be bound to a recipe, but always speaks of provenance, dynamic seasons and the winemaker’s journey. My personal wine journey began when studying overseas in the Okanagan Valley wine region in British Columbia, Canada sparked a love for all things wine and the science of it. Wine is exciting because we are continuously learning more about the interactions happening on a molecular level in the tank, barrel, bottle or can. Besides, when made well, it gifts an excellent sensory experience!

Sparkling Chardonnay. What an innovation to go against the grain and capture a Charmat method sparkling wine with extended time sur lie in a beverage can!
