The Little Theatre Partners With The Copper Crew For “Wuthering Heights” Premiere at Picturehouse
The Copper Crew pairs up with Picturehouse Bath venue The Little Theatre to deliver a night to remember at the Wuthering Heights premier night.
A Night To Remember
We have proudly supplied The Little Theatre, a Picturehouse Cinema in Bath, with The Copper Crew wines for over a year. We were delighted when the team approached us to help them address a pain point: How do you get young people out supporting independent cinema? The Little Theatre have a loyal customer base but want to bring a more diverse audience into their venues.
Whether it’s date nights or a social hub spot in the city, we wanted to help the The Little Theatre realise their ambition. Our plan was simple: elevate a premiere night at the theatre and get the word out. Using our brand energy and PR contacts, we launched a unique activation to celebrate the opening of the box office hit “Wuthering Heights” that brought the magic of cinema to life.

A wonderful, Cosy Experience
Local actor Emily Malloy supported us with a reading, character voices and all, of one of the most famous passages from Wuthering Heights. The preview event, ahead of the film showing, created a unique in-person experience that brought fans together and built community around the excitement of a new film. The reading helped ground the audience in the cosy theatre setting, offering something different from watching the film at home.
To accompany the activation, guests bought a ticket bundle that included a wine and snack to enjoy throughout the film. Our organic Italian canned wine range, The Copper Crew, was the ideal partner: easy to serve, delicious to taste, and all about sharing a great moment together.
This special event opened up the opportunity for Picturehouse to charge a higher ticket price by offering a bundle deal, driving revenue for the cinema on one of the most anticipated releases in the film calendar.
PR activity before and after the premiere event created a buzz, in combination with a sell-out opening night event. We’re proud to have showcased The Little Theatre as a destination cinema, perfect for a social occasion with friends, cosy date night spot and cultural hub for special events and experiences.
Our PR and influencer activity has reached over 14,000 people digitally and counting, with shoutouts in key local media like Visit Bath and Bath Magazine.
The buzz continues with The Copper Crew rolling out to 16 of the Picturehouse cinemas nationally in conjunction with the Wuthering Heights release. Cinema goers and culture enthusiasts can now enjoy our bundle experience at locations across the country.
A Step Forward for Picturehouse Cinemas
Another way we worked with The Little Theatre Bath to increase wine sales and brand awareness for The Copper Crew was through simple POS that promoted our new bundle deals. The offer included a glass of house wine and a gourmet snack, offering cross-sell promotion with other brands for the venue’s guests. The offer was visible, helped speed up queue pressure on the night, and increased spend per head for visiting film lovers.
We also provided wine training to the staff, helping them to confidently talk about the wines with customers. More importantly, we shared stories they can tell about the winery and the people behind The Copper Crew, something that goes above and beyond for story-loving film goers.
After all, wine is about people and great moments, something we share deeply with cinema. What better way to enjoy that relationship than at a charming Picturehouse venue?
