About this wine:
Made by Lionel Gosseaume in the Loire Valley, this wine is a true expression of the freshness and vivacity of Touraine. The grapes are hand-picked late in the season to allow the skins to fully ripen while fully maintaining the acidity, and are whole bunched fermented then rested in stainless steel tanks for 6-9 months.
This wine is part of our Heritage Collection, showcasing fine examples of wines from historic wine regions. The regions are famous for specific grapes and styles which we reflect in our wines
How to enjoy:
Pan-fried duck, moussaka, lamb tagine, falafel, mushrooms stir fried with soy, tomato bread with jamón serrano.

The Winery
Lionel Gosseaume
Lionel Gosseaume comes from a long line of Touraine winegrowers, growing up amongst vineyards. Although he spent most of his adult life distanced from these vineyards, he returned home, embracing his calling. He set up his own Domaine in 2007, acquiring a vineyard from his father’s friend who, still working in the vineyard today, imparted many lessons to Lionel, including the importance of truly understanding your vines to get the most out of them. He was elected President of InterLoire in 2021, a position that supports the promotion of Loire Valley Wines, as well as the eco-friendly transition of Loire Valley vineyards.
Best canned red I’ve tried
The nose leads with black fruit and a nice herbaceous element. Lovely Gamay with a medium finish, pleasantly light with a subtle sweetness
