The opportunity
We are looking for someone who loves details, is analytical, organised and confident talking to our suppliers and customers to build strong relationships. You will thrive on finding new and more efficient ways of working, through cost and time saving initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Operations & Sustainability, you will help manage daily operations, collaborate on operational improvement and sustainability projects and liaise with other departments to seamlessly deliver canned wines to our customers.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be excited about the world of supply chain and logistics. You will be proficient at excel with an enthusiastic attitude to learning new skills and systems. You’ll also have excellent time management and problem-solving skills, helping us manage productions from winery to warehouse, meet our fulfilment targets and deliver exemplary service to our customers. You’ll work with the whole team to integrate sustainability into everything we do and continuously reduce our carbon intensity.
What you’ll be doing
Inventory Management
- Manage stock levels across multiple warehouses against demand forecast and physical stock checks
- Monitor packaging stock and work with suppliers on packaging improvements
Logistics & Distribution
- Support operations team with the logistics across the supply chain from winery to end customer according to production schedules and orders
- Support logistics processes and supplier screenings to find the most cost-efficient and environmentally sustainable shipping methods across the supply chain
Demand Forecasting
- Closely work with the sales team and order data platforms for demand forecasting
- Continuously analyse sales and inventory data to inform promotional activities
Order Processing
- Manage orders with customers and partners to ensure every customer order is delivered on time and in full
- Ensure all orders are processed correctly from receipt and invoicing to dispatch, managing necessary communications across teams about dispatches
- Manage batch tracking of vintages and organic stock across orders and samples
- Management of our e-commerce orders and fulfilment, including customer service, investigating delayed orders, replacing damaged & missing orders
General
- Support operations team in identifying opportunities for operational improvements across existing policies and processes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers, suppliers, and partners
- Support operations team in analysing the sustainability of the current supply chain set-up, collecting data and working on improvements to reduce the carbon intensity of our finished product
What you need
Essential
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in supply chain and logistics
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to be flexible in a start-up environment and wear many hats
- Effective communication and the ability to develop relationships with other areas of the business, particularly Sales and Finance.
Desirable
- Education to at least degree level, or equivalent• A minimum of 1-year previous experience in customer service facing or operations role, preferably within the food / FMCG industry or high growth start-up
- Proficiency in using operation management software including Shopify, stock management tools (e.g. Unleashed) and shipping platforms (e.g. RoyalMail)

Remuneration
£26,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience
