A Dream Partnership With The National Gallery
Our partnership with The National Gallery launched three limited edition cans featuring artwork from Vincent van Gogh, Paulus Theodorus van Brussel, and Paul Gauguin.
Partnering with masterpieces
In 2022, Canned Wine Co. began its partnership with The National Gallery, licensing three artworks from artists Vincent van Gogh, Paulus Theodorus van Brussel, and Paul Gauguin for three limited edition cans. The proceeds from sales of The National Gallery limited editions will support the gallery, helping to maintain free access to the arts. The artworks were incorporated onto our labels by the Master of Wine, Neil Tully, and his team at Amphora Design in Bath. The wines are sold in the café, Muriel’s Kitchen, and as a trio in the giftshop at The National Gallery.
Featured wines
Our best-selling white, rosé and red, co-branded as limited editions with some of art’s greatest works.
The artwork on the cans is great, customers see it and think, “Wow, I’ll have one”. I like the selection of wines on offer and customers are surprised by how good they taste. Canned Wine Co.’s range is competitive with bottles, with the added convenience of quick service and it’s easy to open a can and drink it.

Credibility for cans
When we launched The National Gallery editions it was early days for premium wine in cans. Building a strong relationship with the team at the Gallery and Muriel’s Kitchen, launching with truly iconic art on our labels, opened up a wider conversation about the quality possible in wine in cans.
Judith Mather, the buying and brand licensing director at the National Gallery Global Limited, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Canned Wine Co. who have created a range of beautifully designed canned wines that showcase the National Gallery’s artworks in a very fresh and original way.”
The designs inspire people to try canned wine, often for the first time, and then the interesting grape varieties keep that experience going and deliver a memorable moment. We’re really excited to continue this partnership with The National Gallery, now in its third year, and continue to share delicious wines with visitors.
Winners at B&LLA’s 2023
Canned Wine Co.’s partnership with The National Gallery won the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards in 2023. Simon and Abi from the team were presented with the trophy for ‘Best brand licensed food or beverage product or range’ at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
What people say
The flavours in the wines are clean and fruity, especially for a canned wine option. They’re also really convenient!
